Sourcing and Suppliers

This page sets out where our products come from, and where the information on this site comes from. We would rather say it plainly here than have you discover it after you have bought something.

We are a retailer, not a manufacturer

Elio Marchetti does not own a factory or a workshop. We select finished fixtures from lighting suppliers, list them here, and sell them direct. Any wording elsewhere on this site should be read in that light.

Our principal supplier

Most of our catalogue is sourced from Radilum, a lighting manufacturer and exporter. Orders placed with us are fulfilled from their facilities and shipped to you, which is what sets our lead time of 25 to 40 business days. The Luccio line is the exception: it is held in stock and dispatches within 3 days.

Specifications come from the supplier

Dimensions, weights, materials, finishes, bulb fittings, wattage, colour temperature and IP ratings shown on our product pages are provided by Radilum and published as given. We do not independently measure or test them.

What this means in practice: treat the figures as accurate to the supplier's own tolerances. If a dimension is load bearing on your project, or a fitting has to match existing hardware, write to us before you order and we will get written confirmation from the supplier rather than let you rely on a number we did not take ourselves.

Photography comes from the supplier

Much of the product photography on this site is supplied by Radilum and used with permission. Studio images are shot under studio lighting and room images are staged. Screens render colour differently, and natural stone and glass vary from piece to piece, so what arrives will not be a pixel match for the photograph.

Electrical certification

We do not claim any electrical safety certification for our fixtures unless the certificate and its file number are shown on the product page itself. If you need a certified fixture for a permitted or inspected installation, write to us with the model number before ordering and we will tell you exactly what documentation exists for it. Where we hold none, we will say so rather than guess.

Materials

Where a product page names a material, that name comes from the supplier. Where a piece is a stone effect glass or a composite rather than natural stone, the product page says so. If you are unsure which a given piece is, ask us and we will confirm it before you order.

Questions

Anything on this page, or about a specific product, goes to support@eliomarchetti.com and we will answer it.
