Spheres of Spanish alabaster, hand-carved from solid blocks of translucent stone and suspended on a single slender cord beneath a small turned brass cap. When lit from within, the light reveals each sphere's natural veining and subtle mineral coloration — a quality the Aragón quarries have been valued for since the 16th century.
Available in three single-pendant sizes for bedside or accent installations, plus a 3-light cluster on a shared canopy for over-table or kitchen-island use.

Each piece is unique. Because every sphere is hand-carved from natural Spanish alabaster, the pattern of veining, color intensity, and grain direction varies between pendants — even within the same size. That singularity is the point of the material, not a defect.

Where does the alabaster come from? +
All alabaster is sourced from Spain — specifically the Aragón region, which has supplied the world's most prized translucent alabaster since the 16th century. Spanish alabaster is valued for its fine even grain and superior light-transmission properties. Each sphere is hand-carved from a solid block.
Which configuration suits my space? +
The Small (∅ 10 cm) suits bedside walls and narrow hallways. The Medium (∅ 12 cm) is the most versatile — dining tables, kitchen counters, bathroom vanity flanking. The Large (∅ 15 cm) anchors larger dining rooms as a single statement pendant. The 3-Light Cluster shares one canopy and 150 cm drop, scaled for over-island or long dining-table installations.
Will my piece look exactly like the photo? +
No — every sphere is hand-carved from natural stone, so veining, color intensity, and grain direction vary between pieces. Yours will share the same overall character as the photographs but the specific markings will be one-of-a-kind.
What bulb does it take? +
One G9 LED bulb per sphere (not included). G9 is a small bi-pin base, common in decorative fixtures and widely available. We recommend a dimmable G9 LED up to 5W in warm white (3000K) for the best glow through the alabaster — higher wattages can over-illuminate and flatten the veining.
Can the cord length be adjusted? +
Each cord is 59" (150 cm) and can be shortened during installation. For longer drops — vaulted ceilings, double-height foyers, stairwells — please contact us before ordering for a custom length.
Can I install it in a bathroom? +
Yes — well-suited to bathroom ceilings, particularly above a vanity. Because alabaster is naturally porous, install it away from direct shower spray or steam concentration. Standard ventilation and normal bathroom humidity are not a concern.
Care & delivery
Looking after it
Dust with a soft dry cloth. Stone, plated and painted finishes dislike solvents and abrasives, so keep both away from them; glass takes a lint-free cloth and a little glass cleaner. Solid brass is left unlacquered on most pieces and will warm and darken with handling, which is the material behaving as it should rather than a fault. Switch a fixture off and let it cool before cleaning it.
Who makes it
This piece is manufactured for Elio Marchetti by Radilum, our production partner for the collection.
We are a lighting house rather than a factory. We select the pieces, specify the finishes and the stone, and hold the relationship with the maker, and we would rather tell you that plainly than leave it unsaid. Questions about the manufacture of a specific fixture are welcome and we will answer them.
Delivery
Allow 28 to 43 business days from order to arrival, roughly six to nine weeks. Most of the collection is made to order, so that time covers the piece being built in the finish and size you chose, checked, packed and shipped. The same window applies wherever you are.
Shipping is free to Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia, with no minimum order.
Returns
You have ten days from receiving a piece to have it on its way back to us, under way inside those ten days rather than simply flagged with us on the tenth. Return postage on a change of mind is yours, there is no restocking fee, and the outcome is a refund to your original payment method rather than store credit. Made to order pieces return on the same terms as stock. Contact us before sending anything back.
Damaged or faulty on arrival
Separate from an ordinary return, and a longer window: twenty days from receipt to report it. Tell us before you send anything, keep the packaging until we have answered, and photographs of both the fault and the box help. Where a piece is faulty, damaged in transit or not what you ordered, we cover the return postage.
Installation
Any hardwired fixture should go in with a licensed electrician. Where a piece has particular requirements, a sloped ceiling, a chain that can be shortened, a specific socket, they are listed further up this page.
