About Us

Light, and the rooms it makes

Elio Marchetti is a Toronto-based retailer of decorative lighting. We are not a manufacturer. We select fixtures from established lighting suppliers and sell them direct, which is how pieces at this level of finish reach you without a showroom markup sitting on top of them.

Who we are

Elio Marchetti is a trading name of Sijie Wang, a sole proprietorship based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Our full business details are on the Legal and Compliance page.

Where our products come from

Our principal supplier is Radilum, a lighting manufacturer and exporter. Most of what you see in the catalogue is sourced from Radilum and ships from their facilities, which is why our lead times run to weeks rather than days.

Product information is supplied to us. Dimensions, materials, finishes, wattage and the other specifications throughout this site are provided by Radilum and reproduced as given. Much of the product photography is supplied by Radilum as well. We publish it as received and correct it whenever we learn something is wrong. If a specification matters to your installation, write to us before you order and we will confirm it with the supplier rather than guess.

More detail on this is on the Sourcing and Suppliers page.

How we work

Selection. A fixture earns its place in the catalogue by its material, the discipline of its form, and whether the light it throws is worth living under. We carry a narrow range rather than everything a supplier offers.

Lead times. Most orders take 25 to 40 business days to arrive, because they are built and shipped after you order rather than sitting in a warehouse. The Luccio line is held in stock and dispatches within 3 days.

Natural materials vary. Where a piece uses natural stone, two shades cut from the same quarry will differ from one another. That variation is the material, not a fault.

Commercial and bulk. Hospitality groups, developers and design studios work with us directly on quantity, finish matching and delivery scheduling.
