A plug-in wall sconce in the language of classic American transitional lighting — a slim arched brass arm rises from a small round backplate, dropping a tapered linen cone shade above and a string of three brass baubles below. The detail is deliberately Hollywood Regency: spheres on a vertical line, a soft drum-cone shade, polished metal throughout.
Plug-in installation makes the Primesco a no-electrician sconce — perfect for renters, post-construction additions, or rooms without existing wall boxes. The cord includes an in-line toggle switch for at-the-fixture control. Suited to bedside walls, hallways, reading nooks, and flanking pairs above console tables in transitional, traditional, and Hollywood Regency interiors.

Installation
- Plug-in installation — no electrician required.

- Install at 60–66″ above finished floor for hallways and bedside walls; flanking pairs above mantel typically center 6–9″ above mantel shelf.
- Fits a single E26 (US) or E27 (EU) screw-base bulb — supply your own warm-white A19 LED.
- For dimming, use a dimmable LED bulb paired with an inline cord dimmer (sold separately).

Do I need an electrician to install this? +
No — the Primesco is plug-in. Mount the brass backplate to the wall with the supplied screws and anchors, then plug the cord into a standard wall outlet. The in-line toggle switch on the cord turns the sconce on and off at the fixture. Ideal for renters, post-construction additions, and rooms without existing wall boxes.
What height should I install it at? +
For hallways and bedside walls, 60–66″ from finished floor to the center of the sconce works well. For flanking pairs above a fireplace mantel, center 6–9″ above the mantel shelf. The cord drops below the fixture, so plan the outlet position before final mounting.
Is the Savoe dimmable? +
Yes, with the right bulb and a cord dimmer. The fixture takes a single E26 (US) or E27 (EU) bulb — install a dimmable LED A19 and add an inline cord dimmer (sold separately) between the lamp and wall outlet for smooth brightness control.
Can the cord be hidden? +
The cord is part of the design language — the in-line toggle switch is meant to be visible. If you prefer a clean look, run the cord behind furniture toward the outlet, or for a permanent install, an electrician can hardwire the fixture and remove the cord (custom modification — please contact us before ordering).
Can I use it as a bedside reading light? +
Yes — the linen cone shade casts a focused downlight onto a book or pillow at bedside reading height. The in-line cord switch lets you turn it off without reaching for a wall switch. For warmer bedside ambiance, pair with a 40–60W warm-white LED A19 (2700K–3000K).
Care & delivery
Looking after it
Dust with a soft dry cloth. Stone, plated and painted finishes dislike solvents and abrasives, so keep both away from them; glass takes a lint-free cloth and a little glass cleaner. Solid brass is left unlacquered on most pieces and will warm and darken with handling, which is the material behaving as it should rather than a fault. Switch a fixture off and let it cool before cleaning it.

This piece is manufactured for Elio Marchetti by Radilum, our production partner for the collection.
We are a lighting house rather than a factory. We select the pieces, specify the finishes and the stone, and hold the relationship with the maker, and we would rather tell you that plainly than leave it unsaid. Questions about the manufacture of a specific fixture are welcome and we will answer them.
Delivery
Allow 28 to 43 business days from order to arrival, roughly six to nine weeks. Most of the collection is made to order, so that time covers the piece being built in the finish and size you chose, checked, packed and shipped. The same window applies wherever you are.
Shipping is free to Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia, with no minimum order.
Returns
You have ten days from receiving a piece to have it on its way back to us, under way inside those ten days rather than simply flagged with us on the tenth. Return postage on a change of mind is yours, there is no restocking fee, and the outcome is a refund to your original payment method rather than store credit. Made to order pieces return on the same terms as stock. Contact us before sending anything back.
Damaged or faulty on arrival
Separate from an ordinary return, and a longer window: twenty days from receipt to report it. Tell us before you send anything, keep the packaging until we have answered, and photographs of both the fault and the box help. Where a piece is faulty, damaged in transit or not what you ordered, we cover the return postage.
Installation
Any hardwired fixture should go in with a licensed electrician. Where a piece has particular requirements, a sloped ceiling, a chain that can be shortened, a specific socket, they are listed further up this page.
