Spinano Wall Lamp

The piece

The Spinano Wall Light takes the shape of a cartoonish face for a uniquely playful expression. The simple lines of the eyes, nose, ear, and mouth are crafted from bent metal tubes and accented with white glass diffusers. The eyes and ears feature glass globe diffusers, while the nose and mouth feature linear strips along their length. Available as Full Face, Left/Right Half Face, or individual Left/Right Ear, Eye, Nose, and Mouth pieces to create custom configurations.

Materials & craft

Brass

Solid, not plated. It warms and darkens with handling unless it is lacquered, and that is rather the point of it.

Glass

Blown and annealed, so the wall thickness moves a little and the light through it is never perfectly even.

Care & delivery

Looking after it

Dust with a soft dry cloth. Stone, plated and painted finishes dislike solvents and abrasives, so keep both away from them; glass takes a lint-free cloth and a little glass cleaner. Solid brass is left unlacquered on most pieces and will warm and darken with handling, which is the material behaving as it should rather than a fault. Switch a fixture off and let it cool before cleaning it.

Who makes it

This piece is manufactured for Elio Marchetti by Radilum, our production partner for the collection.

We are a lighting house rather than a factory. We select the pieces, specify the finishes and the stone, and hold the relationship with the maker, and we would rather tell you that plainly than leave it unsaid. Questions about the manufacture of a specific fixture are welcome and we will answer them.

Delivery

Allow 28 to 43 business days from order to arrival, roughly six to nine weeks. Most of the collection is made to order, so that time covers the piece being built in the finish and size you chose, checked, packed and shipped. The same window applies wherever you are.

Shipping is free to Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia, with no minimum order.

Returns

You have ten days from receiving a piece to have it on its way back to us, under way inside those ten days rather than simply flagged with us on the tenth. Return postage on a change of mind is yours, there is no restocking fee, and the outcome is a refund to your original payment method rather than store credit. Made to order pieces return on the same terms as stock. Contact us before sending anything back.

Damaged or faulty on arrival

Separate from an ordinary return, and a longer window: twenty days from receipt to report it. Tell us before you send anything, keep the packaging until we have answered, and photographs of both the fault and the box help. Where a piece is faulty, damaged in transit or not what you ordered, we cover the return postage.

Installation

Any hardwired fixture should go in with a licensed electrician. Where a piece has particular requirements, a sloped ceiling, a chain that can be shortened, a specific socket, they are listed further up this page.
