A round wall lamp built from natural Calacatta Viola — Italian white marble shot through with deep plum and burgundy veining. The marble is shaped into a shallow concave dish, cradling a frosted glass globe at its center. Switched on, the glass diffuses light softly across the polished stone surface, exaggerating the depth and color of the veining around it.

Each piece is hand-cut from a unique slab — no two share the same veining pattern, color intensity, or composition. This is the entire point of working with natural stone, and it's how each lamp earns its place as a small piece of architecture rather than a mass-produced fixture.

Because each marble disc is cut from a unique slab of Calacatta Viola, no two are alike. After your order, we'll send you photos of currently available stones so you can choose the exact piece before we ship.

  2. Within 1 business day, we'll email you photos of the stone discs we currently have available.
  3. Reply with your preferred piece. We then begin final preparation and ship.

If you have a preference — lighter or darker base, more or less veining, rose tones vs. plum tones — leave a note at checkout and we'll prioritize matches. If none of the available options suits, you can request photos from the next slab batch as well.

Each piece is unique. Because the marble is cut from natural Italian slab, the photographs are representative — your unit's veining, color intensity, and pattern will differ. That singularity is the entire point of natural stone.

What is Calacatta Viola? +

Calacatta Viola is a natural Italian marble — a white base stone with dramatic plum, burgundy, and violet veining. It's quarried in Italy and prized for its distinctive color contrast. Every piece is unique because the veining is formed naturally over millions of years.

Can I choose my exact stone? +

Yes — after you order, we'll email you photos of the marble pieces we have in stock within 1 business day. You pick the one you want, and only then do we proceed to final preparation and shipping. If you have a preference for lighter, darker, more veined, or less veined, leave a note at checkout and we'll prioritize matches.

What bulb does it take? +

One G9 LED bulb (not included). G9 is a small bi-pin base, common in compact decorative fixtures and widely available at lighting suppliers. We recommend a dimmable G9 LED up to 5W in warm white (3000K) for the best soft glow through the frosted glass.

Is it dimmable? +

The fixture itself doesn't dim, but it becomes fully dimmable when paired with a dimmable G9 LED bulb and a standard TRIAC wall dimmer (both sold separately).

Can I install it in a bathroom? +

Calacatta Viola is a porous natural marble. The fixture is rated IP20 for indoor dry locations only — fine flanking a bathroom mirror away from direct water contact, but not suitable for shower zones, above tubs, or any high-humidity environment where moisture could stain or etch the stone.

Care & delivery

Looking after it

Dust with a soft dry cloth. Stone, plated and painted finishes dislike solvents and abrasives, so keep both away from them; glass takes a lint-free cloth and a little glass cleaner. Solid brass is left unlacquered on most pieces and will warm and darken with handling, which is the material behaving as it should rather than a fault. Switch a fixture off and let it cool before cleaning it.

Who makes it

This piece is manufactured for Elio Marchetti by Radilum, our production partner for the collection.

We are a lighting house rather than a factory. We select the pieces, specify the finishes and the stone, and hold the relationship with the maker, and we would rather tell you that plainly than leave it unsaid. Questions about the manufacture of a specific fixture are welcome and we will answer them.

Delivery

Allow 28 to 43 business days from order to arrival, roughly six to nine weeks. Most of the collection is made to order, so that time covers the piece being built in the finish and size you chose, checked, packed and shipped. The same window applies wherever you are.

Shipping is free to Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia, with no minimum order.

Returns

You have ten days from receiving a piece to have it on its way back to us, under way inside those ten days rather than simply flagged with us on the tenth. Return postage on a change of mind is yours, there is no restocking fee, and the outcome is a refund to your original payment method rather than store credit. Made to order pieces return on the same terms as stock. Contact us before sending anything back.

Damaged or faulty on arrival

Separate from an ordinary return, and a longer window: twenty days from receipt to report it. Tell us before you send anything, keep the packaging until we have answered, and photographs of both the fault and the box help. Where a piece is faulty, damaged in transit or not what you ordered, we cover the return postage.

Installation

Any hardwired fixture should go in with a licensed electrician. Where a piece has particular requirements, a sloped ceiling, a chain that can be shortened, a specific socket, they are listed further up this page.
