Six white fabric shades rest at the ends of irregular brass stems that branch and extend asymmetrically from the central canopy — no two arms at the same height or angle, the overall silhouette deliberately uneven in the way of a branch loaded with blossoms rather than a manufactured armature. The Sacura was conceived in reference to the Japanese cherry tree in flower: the brass stems as bare wood, the white cotton shades as the petals that cluster at branch ends in spring.

At 125 cm long, 100 cm wide, and 110 cm tall, the Zaffina is a large-scale fixture that occupies the ceiling with genuine architectural presence. It suits rooms and positions where the chandelier itself is part of the spatial composition — a statement over a dining table, in a double-height foyer, or suspended at the center of a living room where the irregular branching silhouette can be appreciated from multiple angles. The six E26 sockets deliver soft, diffused ambient light from a wide footprint.

Weight: 6 kg / 13.2 lbs — confirm ceiling support before installation. The Sacura weighs 6 kg. Ensure your junction box and ceiling support are rated for at least 10 kg (a safety margin above the fixture weight). If you are unsure of your ceiling structure, consult a licensed electrician before installation. Do not install in drywall without a load-rated ceiling anchor.

Bulbs are not included. Each of the six arms uses one E26 (US) or E27 (international) socket. We recommend 4–8W LED globe or candle bulbs at 2700K warm white — the warm tone suits both the brass stems and the white cotton shades. A frosted or opal glass bulb diffuses the output softly through the shade; a clear filament bulb adds visible glow for a more botanical, candlelit character.

What room size suits the Sacura? +

At 125 × 100 cm in footprint and 110 cm in body height, the Zaffina is a large-scale chandelier — it requires a room and table large enough to give the branching silhouette visual breathing room. For a dining room, a table of at least 180 cm and a room of at least 4 × 4 m is recommended. For a living room, the fixture works best when not competing with low furniture directly beneath — center it in open floor space. Double-height foyers and stairwells allow the full vertical mass of the branching structure to be seen from multiple levels.

Why does it have an asymmetric shape? +

The irregular branching of the arms is a deliberate design choice referencing the way a cherry tree grows — no two branches at the same height, angle, or length. A symmetrical candelabra arm layout would produce a manufactured regularity inconsistent with the botanical reference. The asymmetry means the fixture looks different from every angle and position in the room, and the shadow patterns it casts on the ceiling change with the viewing direction.

What bulb gives the best result? +

Two good options. A frosted LED globe or candle bulb (E26/E27, 4–8W, 2700K warm white) gives the cleanest, most even output through the white cotton shades — the shade reads as softly luminous rather than showing a visible bulb silhouette. Alternatively, a clear glass filament LED (visible spiral filament, 2200–2400K amber warm) adds a botanical, candlelit quality — the filament is visible through the shade and the amber glass enhances the warm brass tone of the arms. Bulbs not included.

Is it dimmable? +

Yes, when fitted with dimmable E26/E27 LED bulbs and a compatible TRIAC wall dimmer switch (both sold separately). Specify “dimmable” when purchasing LED bulbs and confirm your dimmer is rated for LED loads. Dimming the Sacura to 30–50% creates a soft, intimate atmosphere well suited to the botanical aesthetic of the fixture — at lower brightness, the white fabric shades appear as warm, glowing clusters rather than bright points of light.

Care & delivery

Looking after it

Dust with a soft dry cloth. Stone, plated and painted finishes dislike solvents and abrasives, so keep both away from them; glass takes a lint-free cloth and a little glass cleaner. Solid brass is left unlacquered on most pieces and will warm and darken with handling, which is the material behaving as it should rather than a fault. Switch a fixture off and let it cool before cleaning it.

This piece is manufactured for Elio Marchetti by Radilum, our production partner for the collection.

We are a lighting house rather than a factory. We select the pieces, specify the finishes and the stone, and hold the relationship with the maker, and we would rather tell you that plainly than leave it unsaid. Questions about the manufacture of a specific fixture are welcome and we will answer them.

Delivery

Allow 28 to 43 business days from order to arrival, roughly six to nine weeks. Most of the collection is made to order, so that time covers the piece being built in the finish and size you chose, checked, packed and shipped. The same window applies wherever you are.

Shipping is free to Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia, with no minimum order.

Returns

You have ten days from receiving a piece to have it on its way back to us, under way inside those ten days rather than simply flagged with us on the tenth. Return postage on a change of mind is yours, there is no restocking fee, and the outcome is a refund to your original payment method rather than store credit. Made to order pieces return on the same terms as stock. Contact us before sending anything back.

Damaged or faulty on arrival

Separate from an ordinary return, and a longer window: twenty days from receipt to report it. Tell us before you send anything, keep the packaging until we have answered, and photographs of both the fault and the box help. Where a piece is faulty, damaged in transit or not what you ordered, we cover the return postage.

Installation
